You can get them from the modding community but they haven't been added as far as I can tell:įlea, a 20-ton ‘Mech known for its speed and firepower.Īssassin, a 40-ton ‘Mech with roots in Star League-era conflicts. If they aren't adding them in using these characters, I can see a lot of pissed off players. I mean it mentions both the Black widow and Bounty hunter, both of whom pilot these 'mechs. Originally posted by Critical Rocket:At least it finally adds the Marauder and Warhammer back. I certainly don't look forward to things with Inferno missiles on desert or lunar maps. Two 40's with different speeds, to relieve us from Cicadas.Īnd I wonder what extra variants of previous mechs will show up, both in the 1.8 update and the DLC. Hmm, from a variety standpoint, that's not bad. (out of curiosity, since I've never used mods in BT - how well do the mech models work? Do they have updating hardpoints?)īased on the Hatchetman & Raven Flashpoints in the previous DLC, I'd bet that the 'wacky tech' in Heavy Metal (LBX, Coil, Thumper, Annihilator, Bullshark, etc) are unlocked by the 'Flashpoint Mini-campaign'. But official DLC have their own things they do better - like changing the core code, or doing things that the mods can't do. (look at the mods for TES & Fallout games, for ex). Mods can always do "more" than the devs can, in the things they can do. If your standard is "well, mods give us more", you were always going to be disappointed.
